At 8 p.m. (ET), NBA SPECIAL: NBA 10: The Inside – Generation Now Powered by PlayStation will profile the 1980's NBA renaissance when transcendent stars such as Magic Johnson and Larry Bird made even the most casual fan sit up and take notice. The special explores the 1996 and 2003 classes that have stocked the league, the influx of international players who have developed into stars, memorable playoff performers and a still-younger generation who are knocking on the door and seeking entry into the NBA's “new” Golden Age.
In addition to the Fan Night game, NBA TV will also feature live games on Monday, Nov. 16 at 8 p.m. (ET) with the Dallas Mavericks @ Milwaukee Bucks, on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 8:30 p.m. (ET) with the Washington Wizards @ San Antonio Spurs and on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 8 p.m. (ET) with the Detroit Pistons @ Phoenix Suns.

It's Stanley Cup Parade time in Pittsburgh, as the Pittsburgh Penguins overcame the odds and defeated the Detroit Red Wings to become 2009 Stanley Cup Champions. The Pittsburgh Penguins parade has been a long time coming for the franchise that suffered through some down times and financial crisis before the current roster was finally put together. Now fans are going to enjoy the first Pittsburgh Penguins parade since 1992, and it will undoubtedly be a great day of celebration for the city. The exact time of the Pittsburgh Penguins parade will be announced in the next couple of days by the team.
It seemed like the successful days for the Pittsburgh Penguins were behind them, but that was until Sidney Crosby came to town and changed the entire mind-set of the NHL. One of the highest regarded draft picks that the NHL had ever seen, he became the #1 choice in the 2005 Draft Lottery. In his first season he finished with 102 total points, and he followed that up with an NHL leading 120 points on offense during his second season. He won the Art Ross Trophy for his work, and put that on the mantle next to his Hart Memorial Trophy as the most valuable player in the NHL.
With a seven game series victory over the Detroit Red Wings, the Pittsburgh Penguins have won the third Stanley Cup trophy in the history of the franchise. Down 2 games to zero, and then down three games to two it seemed like this would be the year of the Red Wings. With game seven scheduled to be played in Detroit, the experts said that it was going to be a celebration in Motown, and surely another Detroit Red Wings parade through the downtown area. That is not quite how things would turn in game seven though, as the Penguins pulled out a nice 2-1 win to clinch the Stanley Cup title.
The Pittsburgh Penguins Stanley Cup parade will definitely have a large turn-out, as fans have a reason to celebrate again in Pennsylvania. Details on the 2009 Stanley Cup Parade will be released to the media within the next couple of days, and it will then be a rush to get seats on the streets where the parade will be passing. It's an exciting time to be a Penguins fan, and the loyal fans of the Steel City.
